The Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants & Children (WIC) is a nutrition and breastfeeding program that helps eligible pregnant women, new mothers, babies and young children. WIC provides nutrition education and counseling, nutritious foods, and referrals to health and other social services.
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) Website
SNAP, formerly known as Food Stamps, helps Minnesotans with low incomes get the food they need for nutritious and well-balanced meals. The program provides support to help stretch your household food budget. It is not intended to meet all of your household's food needs. It is a supplement.

Serving Goodhue County, Packing for the Weekend provides simple weekend meals to make sure no kids go hungry. The food program is available in Cannon Falls, Goodhue, Goodhue County Education District, Lake City, Red Wing, Wabasha-Kellogg, and Zumbrota-Mazeppa. Contact your school social worker to sign up.

Commodity Supplemental Food Program
(CSFP) Website
CSFP is a USDA program to people over the age of 60. Participants receive a monthly food package with American cheese; canned fruits and vegetables; juices; milk; canned meat; cereal; rice or pasta; and plant-based proteins like peanut butter or beans.
